How can a Product Manager effectively communicate a change in deadline to stakeholders?

It is always good to have weekly catchups with the key stakeholders to discuss on ideas, progress and plans.

1. Have a regular communication with all key stakeholders.
2. Always keep them updated on the progress. This would help them to foresee any change of plans.
3. Clearly explain why there is a change.
4. Inform the plan of action to mitigate the reason for change. Update the new launch date.
5. Suggest alternatives if they have planned something based on the release.
6. Choose the right medium of communication. It could be mail or chat whichever is appropriate.
