For a PM, how important is technical understanding?

As a PM you might be spending a lot of time on user, stakeholders, business, strategy, requirements and metrics, but also having a sound understanding of the technology helps you become a complete PM.

Initially I too had struggles understanding the tech side of product which was holding me back on many fronts, but once I started digging into the tech side, things have become much simpler (There is lot to learn too :D )

Few points on how tech knowledge is helping me
